About Me
Update in 2017:
I'm doing my master in KCL in London now. Gonna explore around Europe within this one year's time. Hope to meet fun people and enjoy life!
BTW, since my room in London is real small and I need to share bathrooms and kitchen with other 5 flatmates, it seems impossible to host anyone but wait until I go back to SH guys:) It would be so much fun to show u guys around and my favorite part will be introduce a lot of 'strange' food to u. U have no idea haaaaa! Hope you are advantureous foodies.
Update in 2016:
My name is Xiuqian. (You can also call me Karen like a nickname) I've just quit my job and look forward to my gap year now. Feeling thrilled every time I think about it. Hahahah... Finally! It has always been my dream since university!
I've travelled around most parts of China when I stayed four years in Beijing for my university. So if u are interested in my home country, I'd love to share information with u! But honestly, guys! China's so big and awesome! Welcome to explore it by yourself!
I've worked very hard after graduation and continuing my trip every time I got holidays. But limited time is really annoying. So although I love working as a teacher for kids(If not for my lovely students, couldn't imagine working day after day for 4 years!), I decide to take a rest.
Life's short! Get yourself on the road!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I arrived on the shore, I was a stranger.
When I stayed in ur house, I was a traveller.
But now,
When I step out of ur door,
I am a friend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One morning, I walked into the broadcast studio in my university and met a senior there who told my about her trip to Malaysia by herself and her thought about traveling alone, which opened a new world for me really!
And two years after, I travelled around Tibet on hitchhiking. Without help of all the drivers and the friends I met on the way, I couldn't make it!
During my trip in Souel, I had my birthday with lots of friends from all over the world singing me birthday songs with different languages!! I felt touched at that time..
Traveled around Southeast Asia for 4 months,,,
