HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had the most amazing experiences with this community as I traveled across N America! Previously I mostly hosted - but my situation changed in London and I was unable to anymore.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Fantastic!.... It is amazing the generosity of this community. I was always more of a host than a surfer until my recent travel.

Surfed in Madison, Omaha, Fargo, Winnipeg, Moose Jaw, Regina, Medicine Hat, Calgary, Whitefish, Red Lodge, Helena, Jackson, Rapid City, Laramie, Grand Junction, Pahrump, Loveland, Helena, Portland, and Worland so far - great experiences, as I have come to expect - this site is stellar.

兴趣

Travel!!! Gigs, the usual suspects (reading, movies, theater, museums...etc). I am probably happiest when I can combine travel with gigs.

Just changed careers and continents (again). Life is always an adventure!

I travel a lot by myself - I finished the best trip of driving ALL over N America 2014-2015 it was beyond expectations.
Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Capitol Reef, Yosemite, Tetons, Antelope Valley, Monument Valley, Carlsbad, Death Valley, Arches, Zion, Bryce, Redwoods inland and coastal, Hearst Castle, Biltmore Estate, Copper King Mansion, Wind Cave, The Badlands, Devils Tower, Crazy Horse Monument, Canyon de Chelly, Horseshoe Bend, Lake Tahoe, Joshua Tree, Everglades, Beartooth Hwy, Banff, Lake Louise, Lake Moraine, Valley of Fire, Red Rocks.

Trip to hawaii was pretty terrific too, lots of first on that trip (snorkelling, volcano, helicopter, shark, etc)

did Times Sq for new years eve a once. Once was enough.

The Redwoods in California are still THE most amazing things I have seen so far.

I traveled to Jordan in Feb 2015 and went to Petra. WOW. My second favourite spot on the planet after the Redwoods.

American expat living in Stockholm. I moved to the EU in 2007 so I could travel there, 2019 Asia, then COVID..... I think it is the best way to learn about the world and its people.

I traveled 2014-2015 mostly in the US by car 30,035 miles, camping and couchsurfing. I also popped to Mexico, UK, Sweden, Jordan and Israel as side trips.
I have lots of stories, and I like to think insights now :)
Sadly my current living situation prevents me from hosting.
