ABOUT ME

Hi Everyone! I'm Karen Blake, and I am currently in my third year at Brock University in Canada! I have always wanted to travel and I will soon get the opportunity to travel in New Zealand while on exchange to Otago University. I am a pretty laid-back sort of girl that enjoys new adventures and trying new things.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a strong Christian so I live my life to act like Jesus acted. I believe in a personal relationship with him.I believe that God made the earth and that is why I try and discover beauty in the smallest things.

I have not yet participated but would LOVE to while travelling in New Zealand.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not yet experienced Couch Surfing, but have friends and family who have! It seems like a really sweet idea that I would love to get into!

Interests

I am mostly interested in trying new things and experiencing new cultures. I love meeting people and hearing their stories, whatever they might be!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movies are action ones, ones that make you think. Music - I enjoy most types, I'm currently into John Mayer type songs that are just cool and smooth. Books - I am not an big book reader but have enjoy a good story here and there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can not say that I have experienced many things in my life, but one amazing thing I have seen, that really put me into perspective with the world is when probably 200 birds flew over me and my friends who were sleeping outside and just the beauty of that moment in the early morning was amazing!

I'm learning to look at the smallest things in life and finding joy and beauty in them. Like a simple flower, or a bird's chirp.
