About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore all aspects of life when I am still young!

ABOUT ME

Hello! I am Karen, 22, from Hong Kong. I am currently a university final-year student majoring in Accountancy. I am often described by friends as positive, talkative and straight-forward :P

I like meeting with new people, especially those with different cultural backgrounds to broaden my horizons and I find it super cool to have worldwide friends:) During my university life, I participated in 3 aiesec exchange programs, to Krakow, Poland in my first summer holiday to be a voluntary English teacher and traveled around Europe afterwards, to Mexico City in my second summer holiday to be a university teaching assistant, and to Sao Paulo, Brazil in my last summer to be a volunteer of Earth Charter of United Nations. I used to be quite shy and not courageous enough to express my views. Without travelling experiences, I would never become who I am now, to be open-minded and optimistic about life :P

Besides travelling I have a number of hobbies, including playing piano, swimming, photography, cooking, dancing and reading. I have been learning Spanish also. My goal for 5 years is to get a master degree and start up my own company, haha.

PHILOSOPHY

The world is big and one should explore and develop as much as he can in his life~

My biggest goal is to live my life, happily and with no regrets!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Joining a student project to volunteer and travel in Krakow, Poland in 2012 summer for 7 weeks. Visiting almost each and every street and corner in Krakow. Travelling around 7 countries in Europe after the stay in Krakow as well.

-Joining a European conference in Brzece, Serbia in April 2013; with over 200 Serbian ppl, and myself as the only Asian Delegate! I climbed to one of the tallest snow mountain, Kopaonik on my own and visited Belgrade the capital afterwards! It was really a life-time journey.

-Joining a regional competition organized by Citibank Hong Kong; The process was filmed and I appeared on a local television show:)

- Worked in a university in Mexico City in August, 2013 as a university teaching assistant

- Went to Sao Paulo, Brazil in July-Aug 2014 to be a United Nations Volunteer. (Earth Charter) Experienced the biggest cultural shock and at the same time had the craziest time ever (you know, their kissing and party cultures haha)
