About Me

When i'm not asleep i'm a politics student with a thing for learning weird languages. I also like to eat and take photos of random things.

Currently trying to survive uni and finally see some places in Germany.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The usual I guess - meeting new people, getting an insight in a place that is different from the usual tourist perspective

Interests

pre-uni I used to be pretty good at sports but nowadays my sporty activities mostly consist of running to catch the metro. I'd like to learn kickboxing though and get back into playing handball.
One of my biggest passions has and always will be languages (I am quite a nerd when it comes to gramar). I also love to cook and bake, right now I'm trying to learn how to bake bread which is as good as the bakery's because I have a tiiiiny obsession with bread. It's probably the thing I miss most whenever I'm abroad - apart from my tea cupboard. I'm equally good at procrastinating and spending hours in the library. When I'm in the same place for too long, I tend to get a bit cabin fevery. In summer I like to go camping and hiking, during winter not so much, sometimes I worry that my backpack and tent start to feel neglected... someday I'd like to move to the Finnish forest and build a sauna myself, or just move anywhere close to the sea. Maybe then I'll finally learn how to play more than two chords on the guitar and finish my to-read-pile which has been constantly growing over the last years or I might even write that novel that has been in the back of my head for a while now, who knows?
Anyway, if all this babbling doesn't sound too boring to you, get to know me and see for yourself what else there is we have in common :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to mostly Indie pop/rock. My favourite band of all time are The Libertines.

a few books that kept me thinking after I finished them/that I especially enjoyed: The end of loneliness, Steppenwolf, Americanah, Swing Time, Kite runner, Deutschland Schwarz weiß, The summerbook. I also like political theory. However, I used to read pretty much everything growing up and still have a soft spot for all those fantasy novels I used to be obsessed with, like His Dark Materials, The chronicles of Narnia and, of course, Harry Potter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

finally starting studying Russian language, which I had wanted to do since I was a child
