About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to grow community

ABOUT ME

Hello. I am a person, who long ago was lucky enough to find a seed, of hope and peace and rhapsody, of homes and food and unity, for all. I buried it deep, watered it and said "please", and once I saw its tender leaves, I fed it as best as could be, with good deeds, and gentle breeze, and lots and lots of compost tea. It is still growing.

PHILOSOPHY

"Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep the balance, you must keep moving..." A. Einstein.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Plain and simple, I see couchsurfing as a way to build community both at a local and a global level! At this point, I've been contributing by hosting folks and feeding everyone delicious vegetables whenever I can. However! I've just graduated from University and I'm looking forward to traveling, so I hope I get a chance to meet each and every one of you someday.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only surfed a few times. Hosted some folks a few more. However, nothing, nothing beats a couchsurfer potluck!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: One of my favorite forms of learning, expansion, and adventure. There are so many amazing books. I can't name them all of course but what comes to mind is Carlos Castaneda, Howard Zinn, zines of all size and shape, Joel Salatin, Michael Pollan, Paul Staments, Tom Wolfe, and instructional books of all kind.

Movies: Don't watch a lot of TV but I love a good film. Documentaries, ANIMATION, philosophical, classic, conceptual, music.

Music: Kan'nal, Dovekins, First Aid Kit, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Immortal Technique, Gomez, Blockhead, Bonobo, Bramble, Andrew Bird, Fleet Foxes, Defiance OH, Taxpayers, Rilo Kiley, Brazilian Girls, Robbie Robertson, Led Zeppelin, street music, singing in the shower music, raindrops on the roof, wind in the willows, music from the heart and soul of life itself...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I grew over 2000 lbs of organic veggies from a 3600 sq. ft garden in one season!!
