ABOUT ME

We are a group of four girls from County Tyrone in N.Ireland travelling round the South of America during July and August 2012. Ideally we will be couchsurfing the whole time.

A bit about us:
I am Karen. I'm 23, have a degree in Media and TV and have a great interest in music. We will be bringing our guitars in the hope that we will be able to play a bit while we're out there.
My friend is Samantha who is also 23 and is a qualified primary school teacher. She is very bubbly and outgoing.
Kate and MaryRose are sisters with degrees in Criminology and YouthWork. Kate is 26 and MaryRose is 25 and they both love to sing and play music too.
We are all very friendly, mature, neat and tidy girls looking to see as much of America as we can, soak up the culture and meet some local people. We love animals and are happy to respect all the rules of any household. We can even cook some typical irish meals for you if you wish.
We are looking forward to hearing from you very soon.

PHILOSOPHY

Open-minded, easy-going, free spirited, kindhearted and friendly girls. We are very outgoing and bubbly and are keen to travel America and see its' wonderful sights while meeting interesting people along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are looking for space or room for four girls for up to 12 nights (less is acceptable) around the areas which we have listed above.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No previous experience but can't wait to get started and meet some new people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Kate and MaryRose - sang the national anthem at Fenway Park in Boston.
Karen - Was on top of the Empire State Building and saw the Statue of Liberty.
Samantha - Qualified as a teacher.

Teach, Learn, Share

We have all been involved in many cross-community ventures, both nationally and internationally. Activities included teaching primary children across all subjects; teaching children the guitar, mandolin, tin whistle, singing.
