About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Seeing places, meeting people, enjoying life!
ABOUT ME
Calm, honest, open-minded. Curious about the world. After graduating as a translator, I spent some time abroad and did a journalism internship. Unfortunately, interesting writing/editing/translating jobs are hard to find. So I'm considering studying anthropology. That will definitely get me a job ; ).
PHILOSOPHY
Ester asked why people are sad.
"That's simple," says the old man. "They are the prisoners of their personal history. Everyone believes that the main aim in life is to follow a plan. They never ask if that plan is theirs or if it was created by another person. They accumulate experiences, memories, things, other people's ideas, and it is more than they can possibly cope with. And that is why they forget their dreams.âÃâ¬Ã (from The Zahir by Paulo Coelho)
It's a big world, and life is short. Just live it the way you want to and try to make the most out of it. : )
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only good experiences! I have hosted some surfers and have surfed a few couches in Brazil : ).
Interests
Don't ask me why, but I'm absolutely fascinated by body art (tattoos) and street art (graffiti). Apart from those weird fascinations, I enjoy reading, cooking (simple things), eating, going out for a drink with friends and jogging. I love hot chocolate (and chocolate in general), sunny days, skiing, the combination of those three, the Spanish language and playing table football. Oh and travelling of course. Some things that I dislike: waking up early in the morning, Malibu (the drink, I haven't been to the city yet) and people who think they know everything best.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books that make me think, that move me. I can definitely enjoy reading a good book : ). I'm also interested in literature translation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As an 18-year-old spending one year abroad with a language school in Barcelona, Munich, Dublin and Nice.
Living the Erasmus life in Granada (Spain) for 5 months.
Celebrating my 24th birthday at a Manu Chao concert in Berlin, losing my friends in the crowd, getting stuck in a moshpit and after the concert having an improvised party on the metro with some crazy German people.
Hopefully, spending my 25th birthday in Sao Luis (Brazil) will be as much fun! : )
