About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To give back to the couchers what the couchers gave us!

ABOUT ME

We are a young, easy going couple and we really like to meet new people and show them around a bit if we have the time. Neither of us are working yet as we just got home from our own world travel when last June we quit our jobs and took 12 months off to see the world and truly experience couch surfing first hand. We got home early Feb and are looking forward to hosting again so please let us know if you need to couch surf!

PHILOSOPHY

If you do good to others, it doesn't mean bad things will never happen to you, but there'll always be someone happy to pick you up when you fall.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've had a great time hosting and surfing too! We travelled Europe, Canada and NZ and had many awesome experiences through CSing. We have stayed with 2 awesome hosts in Sweden and through this made many new great friends. We also surfed in Germany and Spain and are looking forward to hosting now that we are back home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We hosted Sonny from USA who was our first CSing guest. We took him wine tasting at Mclaren Vale (a local wine region) and had a great day. Sonny was cool and we invited him to stay longer than initially arranged beacuse he was so nice and we wanted to help him out. Hanna from Germany came to stay at the same time who was really sweet too and she cooked us a lovely meal.
Our second surfers were Mike with his girlfriend Ashley from Canada who were great phenomenal we love to host couples! We have a great party room at our place and spent most nights there having a few drinks and playing cards with them as we do with all our surfers. We also hosted a great couple from the UK, Louise and Mark who we met at the airport who we played a few crazy drinking games with..... hilarious! They were also fantastic!
Then we went OS ourselves and stayed with Jonas in Stockholm. He was a wonderful host. He took us on a personal tour of Stockholm, to his favourite cafe and even to a dance party in the mud!!
We also stayed in a corridor with John in Flogsta, Uppsala. That was a brilliant time!!! And despite his rough looking exterior John turned out to be one of the most generous, kind people we have met in our lives. He let us sleep in HIS bed while he slept on the couch!! We think we have made a true friend for life. You rock John!!
We stayed with Jan in Hamburg, Mel and Sven in Hamburg and Loic in San Sebastian was kind enough to take is in through emergencey couch surfing when our car broke down. All our hosts were brilliant and are always welcome at our home!
