CURRENT MISSION

Ours is a two-year mission to study Polar Mesospheric Clouds, the Earth’s highest clouds, which form an icy membrane 50 miles above the surface at the edge of space.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are in possession of not one but TWO couches [Hot Pink (Both of them)]. We have been unofficial couch-surfing hosts to many travelers and sporadically attended meetings over the last few years. We're new at hosting, but we hope to offer hospitality, our knowledge of Italy , and our love of Florence to travelers world-wide.

Music, Movies, and Books

Coen Brothers, Fellini, Wes Anderson, we'll watch just about anything. We have a wonderful record player and a growing collection consisting mostly of Cat Stevens, but we're open to anything you can find on vinyl. Whatever books we can get our hands on. Books in the house now are Updike, Rushdie, Eco, Calvino, Murakami, and Robbins.

Teach, Learn, Share

Separately we are majoring in Literature and Political Science, but together we have scraped together enough Art History, Florentine and Italian History to give a decent tour. Recently we have been experimenting with cooking using only local, organic produce and trying new recipes. We love to learn new dishes, and welcome fellow foodies. We love arts and crafts and any form of creativity. We have a guitar available for any musical travelers. We're trying to learn footbag. Let's do this.
