About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live a life of exploration, service and joy.

ABOUT ME

Some friends would called me lost, but I say that not all those who wander are lost.

I currently coordinate a community center/food pantry in Colorado Springs, CO. I also direct interagency health and feeding programs and am working on building community gardens for 3 sites in 2012. I am also a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in the Philippines from 2008-2010. Great to meet you!

PHILOSOPHY

The purpose of life is to live fully, wisely, compassionately and with joy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted couch surfers while living in the Philippines and loved it! I'm interested to become involved with CS again now that I have 'settled down' for the time being in my hometown of Colorado Springs and am planning new travel adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hmmm...quite a bit actually. But I love non-fiction and travel memoirs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scuba diving and snorkeling in the Philippines (most marine bio-diverse region in the world)
Climbing Colorado 14ers
Hiking rim-to-rim in the Grand Canyon
Working in the Scottish Highlands at the base of Ben Nevis

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to meet other humanitarians, or those who love to travel and learn. I enjoy sharing experiences with all kinds of people--
I have a friend who tells me I could get along with a brick.

You know what? I think he's right.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Philippines, Slovenia, Spain, United Kingdom
