Overview
About Me
I am Karen, 25 years old and I grew up in very small village somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Germany. After leaving school I moved to Hanover, made my apprenticeship and lived in a shared flat. One day, when life did not follow my plans again, me and a friend decided to go to New Zealand for half a year. Actually...that's how it all started.
I try to collect as many memories and stories as I can without regreting anything. Probably I am not the one changing the world one day, but it is always werth trying to make this a better place for all of us. Always be as happy as you can! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like the idea of sharing homes, food and stories. For me it is about give-and-take in life! I mean, we are all in this together.
And I am already keen on hosting people back home when having a Break of travelling.
Interests
I love to meet people, have a drink (sometimes two) & good food and listen to (live) music. All kind of outdoor activities like hiking, swimming or fishing are the perfect 'waste' of time to me.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like to listen to every kind of music prefering Folk, Ska, Punk and Rock!
Frank Turner, Chuck Ragan, Mumford and sons, Madsen, Ben Howard, NOFX, Rise against, and so on...
Books are definitely not my biggest interest but I inhale Mitch Alboms books like "The five people you meet in heaven".
" Love actually" is probably the movie I would choose between a million others. Maybe more the girls stuff..
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leaving home a second time for travelling without knowing when to be back.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach how to make perfect german pancakes (Granny's recipe).
And maybe juggling. :)
There is still a lot I would like to learn and I am open for everything new.
Adventures and experiences are always good to share!
And food and drinks for sure.
