About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To create a safe and friendly environment and enjoy lots of laughs and maybe a nice glass of wine

ABOUT ME

I'm 37, originally from Northern California but grew up in Upstate NY. I own the house and have two other roommates that live here. We have a nice back yard full of fruits and vegetables. I love life and discovering lots of new places, food and people. I'm a potter with my own pottery studio in my garage. I was in the Peace Corps in the Philippines from 2005 - 2007. I clean up after myself and always leave a place better than when I arrived. I am incredibly respectful and considerate and I expect the people I surround myself to reciprocate kindness. We have a relaxing back yard, hammock for soaking in the sun and an impressive deck we built together to hang out on. Feel free to ask me any questions you might be curious about to make hosting an easy experience.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to be as kind and thoughtful as I know how to be. I treat others with respect and I am always thinking of others through all my actions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I know how wonderful it can be to arrive at a safe place in someone's home who is already familiar with the area. It is so much more fun to talk to local people than to have a hotel all to yourself. I love to share food and help where I'm needed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A friend and I couchsurfed around Europe in 2012 and loved it! We have hosted people here and there and always enjoy our time together.

Interests

I love to visit any kind of natural wonders on our planet. Amazing waterfalls that formed over thousands of years, beautiful sunsets, great hikes, amazing food and interesting cultures and markets. We love the opportunity to host and be hosted through CS because new ideas for adventures open up even more.

I built a pottery studio in my garage and it's amazingly therapeutic and fun, thought provoking, and challenging and creative. I love it!
