Overview
About Me
I've loved Latin America and speaking Spanish since I was about 15. And I finally came to study abroad in Chile in 2008, moved there in 2009 and in June 2015 moved back to the States. While in Chile I realized I love teaching and I've come back to teach here and eventually get a Master's in Education. I'm now moving to San Francisco and need some help staying places while I finalize my job and housing situations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've used couch surfing in my travels in Chile and Brazil to help meet local people and have a different insight into their cultures. There's always so much to learn from other cultures, which helps me learn more about myself too! Now I'm hoping I can find friendly people to host me while I get started in SF. :)
Interests
I love education and working with teenagers! I learn something new with them every day and I think education is one of the most effective ways to work towards achieving more equality in the US. I studied Sociology and am interested in social justice and equality for all, and I've found that teaching is an awesome way to work towards this.
I run, bike and do yoga regularly. I like to hike and be outside, but don't always have time to do it. I love animals and am vegan. I try to eat organically and enjoy finding different recipes that make whole foods even more delicious than they already are.
