About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To take over the world!
ABOUT ME
Kia ora! I'm an American teacher living in Copenhagen Denmark. I've previously lived in New Zealand for almost 7 years, Paris for 1 year and Chicago is where I grew up. I've done a lot of traveling and a lot of couch surfing over the last 10 years!
I love cooking, drawing (especially portraiture), banter, squash, good music, films, and dark chocolate. I'm liberal, easy going, and fun loving; I don't take anything seriously. I don't smoke or drink excessively (maybe a glass of wine with dinner ).
PHILOSOPHY
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host couch surfers when I can and I love to meet new, friendly people when I couch surf. I believe couch surfing is more than just a cheap way to get lodging, if done properly it is a cultural exchange that creates lasting friendships.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed around Europe which was a blast! I was in switzerland for my 21st birthday and my hosts made it such a special day for me! I've also hosted a couple of people on my futon when I was living in Bloomington and my other housemates have had couch surfers stay at our place, its always great to have new faces around. I love hosting and meeting new people, I just love couch surfing in general.

Music, Movies, and Books
I wanted to get out and walk eastward toward the park through the soft twilight, but each time I tried to go I became entangled in some wild, strident argument which pulled me back, as if with ropes, into my chair. Yet high over the city our line of yellow windows must have contributed their share of human secrecy to the casual watcher in the darkening streets, and I was him too, looking up and wondering. I was within and without, simultaneously enchanted and repelled by the inexhaustible variety of life.
-The great gatsby
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went bungee jumping at Tower Bridge in London, It was nuts!
I hitch-hiked across Cyprus after getting robbed by a taxi driver because I had no money after the hold up. It is in times like that that you see the worst and the best in people, I couldn't believe how friendly and accommodating Cypriot people were (other than the robber of course)!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make a mean batch of cookies, I'm somewhat of a cookie connaisseur.
I can also teach:
-portraiture
-French
