About Me

I would rather spend my days doing things that will bring me happy memories than collecting possessions.

I graduated from University with a Bachelor of Film and Television. I am currently living in Manhattan working for a company called @PassionPassport and planning to travel part time as often as possible!

I am also fascinated by humans (we're all so weird and amazing). I am part-time studying Positive Psychology and Philosophy, and in every other second of spare time, you'll either find me reading, listening to podcasts, attending workshops (I work part-time at The New York Open Center - an INCREDIBLE holistically-based educational center with amazing people and programs), or doing kundalini, yoga, meditation or kirtan at my second home called the Bhakti Center. I really love to learn and I guess that's one of the main reasons I love Couchsurfing so much!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I want to meet like minded travellers and experience different cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music -

Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac, BEYONCE, Bon Iver, Jack Johnson, Vampire weekend, Coldplay, Alt-J, Jose Gonzalez, Missy Higgins, Rufus, Flume, ANY Motown classics, always up for a bit of mainstream radio .... as you can probably tell I don't really have a genre, I like music.

Movies -

Hardest question to ask a film student because there's too many good ones!!

I appreciate old classics like - Some Like It Hot, Sunset Boulevard, Psycho etc.

But let's be honest, I'm a sucker for a good RomCom - It's Complicated, The Holiday, Somethings Gotta Give, The Parent Trap (... pretty much anything Nancy Meyers), The Note Book, Pretty Woman, When Harry met Sally, Love actually.. and all the rest!

and.. Forrest Gump, Titanic, The Prestige, Inception, The Help, Seven Pounds, The Kite Runner, Atonement, to name a few more!

Books
I love reading a mixture of psychology, philosophy, spirituality and self-help books because I love improving myself and my outlook on life. The Secret, The Power of Now, As a man thinketh, the wisdom of Insecurity, Blink.. to name a few of the many favorites.

Influential People
Dalai Lama, Oprah Winfrey, Tony Robbins, Rob Bell, Alan Watts, Elizabeth Gilbert, Tara Brach, Dr Wayne Dyer, Jim Carrey and all of my amazing teachers, friends and family members that inspire me every day!
