Well hello there!

My name's Kari and I am just getting introduced to couch surfing. My friend Emma is a seasoned surfer, her and I traveled around Germany and Iceland July/August of 2014 and we stayed with surfers through her account. I am finally getting around to creating my own account as it's time to pay back into the community for the amazing hospitality of my previous hosts :) It's the only way this works, right? gotta give if you're expecting to take!

I work as a registered nurse, my schedule is random and flexible which means I get great opportunities to travel abroad and to take short get-away's here at home. Would love a chance to show any keen visitors some of what Vancouver has to offer!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

- My hosts in Germany and Iceland were amazing and inspired me to get involved with Couch Surfing .
- This will give me more excuses to get out and explore British Columbia! Road Trips!

Too many to list! I love reading and am happy to talk books. My music tastes have mellowed over the years, just this weekend I went to the Squamish Valley Music Festival and had an amazing time chilling out to Mumford and Sons, George Ezra, Brandon Flowers...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

... this is a tough one! I guess the thing I'm most proud of is that when I was 27 years old I decided I was unsatisfied with my career and went back to university for 4 more years to become a nurse. Proud that I didn't stay in a passionless career despite the great income.
