About Me

I was born in St. Petersburg, FL, but grew up most of my life in West Virginia. I am definitely a West Virginian. People say I do have an accent. I love mountains. I am attached to the land and the house I grew up in. That being said, I think travel is very important and essential to learning about yourself and your place in this diverse world. I think life is about trying to figure it out: figuring out who you are, what your purpose is, why we are here. I'm not sure if anyone ever does fully figure all these things out, but then, life would not be as interesting. So, I am just a young woman trying to figure it out and realizing that there is so much I do not yet know.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered Couch Surfing before my older sister and I went on a month long road trip across the country, East to West and back again. Although I haven't utilized CS much after that, I love the philosophy and community of couch surfing and hope to have many more CS experiences in the future. I <3 meeting new people and going new places.

Interests

I like hot baths, coffee, exercise, swimming in the ocean, walking in the woods, reading, organizing, decluttering, learning new languages, reducing, reusing, and recycling, discussing and contemplating reality, life, our purpose, eating new foods, eating food in general, loving Penny (my beautiful cat), minimalism, global living.

Teach, Learn, Share

Japanese has three forms of writing they use together: Hiragana, katakana, and kanji.

Use products that are good for you inside and out.

All of your belongings that you never use are not serving anybody and are just taking up space in your head and in your home, distracting you from what really matters.

Any reading suggestions welcome! novels, sustainability, minimalism, self-growth
