ABOUT ME

I am a happy go lucky lady who likes to see the glass half full in all situations. Any chance for adventures or good times with great company is a must have in life. My work sucks me in on a weekly basis - I am currently co-managing a Community Farm which is great fun but long hours, so the weekends are for dancing, giggling, walking, talking, getting away and meeting up with friends.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A good friend has been involved in surfing for years and would you believe it has taken me this long to catch on. I have just finshed renovating a 3 bed house in Swansea, but have decided to give my fingernails a break from the DIY and house sit/couch with friends for four months. So I am currently not able to host without the go-ahead of my current host home, but once I'm reunited with the house and garden in June, people are more than welcome.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I signed up three summers at the age of 18 to work on a summer camp in USA for kids and adults with disabilities. As well as having the most amazing time, I met some wonderful friends with whom I have travelled to some wonderful places - Detroit - would you beleve it was the most unique 'couch surfing' expereince I have. Our waitress myself and a friend to live with her and her family in the ghettos for a week - Eye opening and so kind. I wish I still had her contact details to thank her with my adult mind for looking after my teenage self.

Interessen

I love dancing - whether it is on a sticky dance floor, festival grass or down the street in a carnival feista. Walking on the Gower or any other path that leads my walking boots into the grave once more. Cycling - although not a major fan of big hills after NZ initiation. And in no particular order, camping, conservation work, piglets and of course Tequila - say no more.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Well - the MP3 player currently holds a range from Fat Freddy's Drop, Florence and the Machine, Gossip, Batucada Sound Machine, Jonny Cash, Lamb, Ben Folds Five, Cat Empire and the list goes on...

As for books - I love travel and adventure books such as Joe Simpson and Carl Bushy which were recent reads I couldn't put down.
