About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seeing the other side of the world -> trip to Alaska :)

ABOUT ME

My name is Paula. Currently I'm doing my MA in Global History at Freie Universität in Berlin. Before that I graduated in Africa studies and worked for a few month at a broadcast station. After I finished High School in 2009, I went for a volunteer service in Kisumu (Kenya) for one year.
You probably know how hard it is to write stuff about yourself and I'm a bit tired of it, but I'm totally up to share more about me in a personal conversation :)

PHILOSOPHY

Couldn't quite find out yet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My student flat in Berlin is currently to busy to host couch surfers, but I did when I lived in Kenya and I surfed couches in France and Norway. Although Airbnb tends to outstrip Couchsurfing, I still very much like the concept of the latter.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted two couples, and met a few others in Kisumu town. Furthermore I did a roadtrip through France surfing peoples couches and was hosted by a very nice Norwegian in Kristansund.

Interests

traveling
listening to music (various)
literature (if I find time to read a novel as a change from all the academic reading)
interesting discussions
hiking (although not too expierenced yet :) )
