Overview
About Me
I am originally from Austria, but I took the opportunity to be an Au Pair in Finland for one year. Right afterwards I continued living abroad while being an EVS volunteer for 10 months in Romania. Already then I noticed how much I missed Finland so now I'm back studying in this beautiful northern country.
I like trying a lot of different things, participating in sports, visiting new places, writing all kind of stories and also reading a lot. Something that I always come back to is taking trips into nature so here in Finland I have awesome opportunities with different National Parks.
I don't confine myself to just one line, no, I prefer to live a varied life. There are so many possibilities how to live your live and as I'm not sure yet in which direction I want to go, I want to try out as many opportunities as possible.
Right now I am quite active in our local student culture so if you are staying with me during the semester there might not be that much time I can spend with you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After my Au Pair year in Finland I stayed for another month in this beatiful country to explore, see new places and meet interesting people. It was just perfect to use Couchsurfing during that "travel month". I met amazing people, they could show me arround and I learned quite some new stuff. It's just such a great way to meet different people and explore new places!

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a big fan of Harry Potter and the whole wizarding world. Apart from that I have so many favourite books and writers, it is hard to pick just some of them. And I also read a lot of fanfictions.
For music, well, I really enjoy listening to music, but mostly I have no idea who I am listenig to. It depents on my mood and sometimes I just pick random playlists. But there is almost no kind of music I never listen to or dislike.
I am also playing some musical instruments, right now not that much, but I learned how to play the saxophone, the guitar and also some piano (where I still have to learn a lot).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just one? My one month travelling alone through Finland was amazing. I have a lot of great memories from it, for example sitting on a hill surrounded by reindeers and watching the midnight sun in Urho Kekkonen national park.
But I think there are a lot of small amazing things in everybodies life, and often the best things happen if we just take a step out of our comfort zone.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you knitting if you want to learn it. Or if you like scarfs and there is a place where I can get the garn/whool somewhere in your area, I will also make a scarf for you, which doesn't even take half an hour to knit - just watch and learn, it is really easy as soon as you know how it works ;)
A few years ago I learned how to read and write some old runes (Elder Futhark as far as I know), I don't know if anybody else is interested in leaning them, but don't hesitate to ask me about it, if you are!
I love to learn new things, so if you have any skills and are ready to share them I am eager to learn.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Austrian chocolate, stories of my past, may it be from my Au Pair year, fun times I had at school, or things I saw/experienced while travelling. I also know some really good recipes, mostly for cakes or desserts ;)
