About Me

I'm a 21 year old university student. Usually I study East Asian Studies at Smith College in the US, but until December I am studying architecture in Copenhagen. In the meantime, I'm trying to see as many places as I can.

I don't know what I want to do after I graduate, let alone what I want to do next year or in two weeks. I'm always looking for ideas and inspiration, and hopefully seeing different places will help me figure everything out.. but if it doesn't, that's fine.

I can't host right now because I am living with a host family who doesn't like guests, but I like meeting people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it would be very hard to see a place from a fancy hotel room. Places are shaped by people, and meeting interesting people can shape your memory of that place.

Interests

I love music and singing, and sing a lot a college. I also like hiking, but haven't hiked in many crazy places because I grew up in a city. I love coffee, red wine, warm socks, and good vegetarian food. I also love cats, although they don't always like me..

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of Korean rap, but also a lot of other artists like Alt-J, Ella Fitzgerald, The Beatles, Paper Kites, Bastille, Rihanna..... I'm always interested in hearing more music.

I don't really watch movies and I wish I read more books. Right now I'm reading 'The Master and Margarita' by Mikhail Bulgakov. I'm open to recommendations..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ate macaroons in Marie Antoinette's garden in Versailles on my birthday. I still can't decide if that was distasteful!

I've kayaked in a reservoir in a rainforest at the tip of Thailand, and been on a stone beach on a peninsula in Sweden when it was starting to rain. I had a Finnish sauna experience in a forest outside of Helsinki. I hope I get to do more amazing things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you a Bulgarian folk song in three parts!
