A school trip to London a long time ago triggered my love for travelling and I have had itchy feet ever since. I am an outdoorsy kind of person and enjoy adventurous holidays. I think I have gained most of the international experience that student life offers: I have worked as an aupair in Ireland, have been to a summer school near Lake Baikal, have spent an Erasmus year in Dundee, Scotland, have participated in a hiking tour in the Carpathians twice and just got back from an internship in Wolgograd, Russia. In between I have finished my teaching degree at the University of Salzburg (with some delay obviously) and taken up ultimate (which I play poorly but with pleasure). At the moment I am doing an internship in Barnaul, Russia.

Born on the countryside, for the past 3 years (with some exceptions) I have lived in the city of Salzburg and plan to return in summer 2018 to start teaching English and Russian here. For the time being I am doing interships abroad with occasional holidays in Salzburg.

I enjoy spending time with friends, talking English and Russian, hiking, reading, attending Pub quizzes, baking, buying at food markets, playing frisbee... I love coffee, new stamps in my passport, fleamarkets, homemade things, large dogs, old-fashioned earrings, costume dramas, vintage clothes, black humor, foreign films, summer storms, soaps, strawberries, lists and plans, willows...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my opinion, the best way to get to know a country or a city is to get to know its people and I am also always happy to pass on "insider information". In addition, I would like to improve my language skills and widen my horizon by meeting up with travellers from all around the world.
