About Me

Travelling around sea since April 2015.
Born in Belgium, lived 18 years in Central Africa with my parents. Back in Belgium for university and work as an architect during 15 years. Left everything to travel and find a place somewhere here around to live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Have friends who use couch surfing and all of them have nice story with that experience. Until now I used guesthouse, dorms, free accommodation by volunteering and I would love couch surfing and meet people.

Interests

Travelling alone, free as a bird without plan, travelling with people I met on my road, meet and pass time with other cultures, literature, meditation, volunteering, architecture, walking down the streets in cities, slow life, listening to the music of the waves and the songs of the birds on beaches.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am an addict reader,...... Love Haruki Murikami, Jack Kerouac, Brady Udall, Yasmina Khadra, Jonathan Coe, ...... And my favourite story of life is Jonathan Livingstone the Seagul.
About music, love almost non commercial music,.... Rock&roll, jazz, electronic music, music of the world. One of my best party was lost paradise in Koh Phangan with the totally magical sounds of the awesome dj Samotarev from Russia.
One of my favourite movie is Into the Wild.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my best souvenir of this trip was going to Katha, the city where Georges Orwell lived in Myanmar. I was the lonely foreigner in the city and I met an amazing Burmese family and friends with whom I lived 5 days. They touched me so much that I cried when I leaved them. Myanmar is my favourite country with the most beautiful people I ever met.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Actually, I don t have a flat or house to host people. I decided to make a break in my life to travel around sea and perhaps find my place here around.
