Soon to be Masters student at SOAS, University of London. I graduated in 2016 from the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelors in Political Science/ International Relations. I love spicy food, being introduced to new music, socializing, and politics. I am especially fascinated by how politics is influenced by the media. I am open minded. Naturally curious about things especially historical facts. I am bilingual (Spanish and English). I would consider myself a "people person". I tend to get along with the majority of people I meet even those with different politics. I consider myself to be very respectful especially in a home that isn't mine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing because I have friends who have done it before that strongly recommend it as a way to get to know a city through the guidance of locals. Many have had amazing experiences. Some of which made lasting relationships with their hosts.

Interests

I love politics, current events, watching Family Guy, Netflix, Mangos, avocados, socializing (meeting other people), interacting with different cultures, food, and making iTunes playlists.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed the Cliffs of Moher even though I'm scared of heights, can't swim, and can be clumsy at times. I survived which is a big deal given the strong winds.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you basic Spanish that will definitely save you stress if you ever travel throughout Latin America or Spain. I can also share with you my experience as a first-generation Mexican-American. We can talk about customs, food, culture, etc. I'm up for anything. Through this experience I hope that we each can learn something about the other. I also hope that the host will feel comfortable enough to reach out to me when I'm in the States or another country and they need to couchsurf.
