About Me
* * * * *
Hi, I am Karina. Polish girl with a huge longing for the unknown.
Yoga teacher and personal trainer, who is absolutely addicted
to movement and is constantly hungry to discover something new.
Hitchhiker and wanderer, whose previous choices led her
to live in a little town on the East of Netherlands.

Past few years were full of personal and spiritual growth as well developing as a traveler. I've taken on a solo expedition around the Eastern side of the globe. I've hitchhiked through Australia and South East Asia, staying on an extremely low budget. Hitting my absolute zero in the bank forced me to discover new ways of travelling and experiencing the surroundings. Through the hospitality and help of the locals, I visited and stayed in the most random but also the most incredible places. These times were huge eye opener and inspiration towards alternative type of living. I've learned simple life, appreciation for every little thing that comes around, I've found my ground. Now, I am back in Europe, I am trying to implement some of that wisdom, while teaching people how to move better.
Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative. Slow but steady movement and self improvement is what helps us live the life to the fullest. I don't like to sit still, I've got way too much energy for that. If I am not currently teaching/doing yoga or training to join the circus, you will find me either bustling around the kitchen, looking for a new adventure or planning another trip. I love learning new things, especially if it can be from another, like minded person. Wholesome actions brings more wholesome actions so let's talk to strangers, be open and kind to one another.
In the name of reducing my impact on the planet, I consume no meat and very little diary. My individual journey of health has slowly grown into an awareness of how much of game changer the diet is, not only for the animals, but for the planet and all things living here. Although I am not orthodox about anything, I try to live in the most conscious and sustainable way.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like the music that wakes up my senses and moves the soul. I listen to almost all kinds of music, with my personal favourites going towards gloomy indie, light trans and chilled out surfer vibes. I love hearing new things and genres so go on and inspire me with your music taste.
I am not so big on movies, I am more of a TV series kind of girl.
Recently, I am only able to commit to books concerning science, spirituality and personal growth but I also enjoy biographies and history books. Not so keen on keen on fiction writing these days.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Oh man, there is so much more than 'one amazing thing' we do in life. LIFE itself is just amazing! Some of the most magical moments though: watching the night sky from the Sahara Dessert, completing 10 days Vipassana Meditation retreat times 2, spending the night at the Cambodian police station, witnessing the traditional shamanic celebration for the New Year at one tiny village in the mountains of Laos.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am happy to share some healthy cooking and lifestyle tips, my language and my native cuisine. I can offer you a nutritional advice or a personal yoga/fitness session. I am currently working on my Dutch and I'm learning to play the guitar. I would write that I'm also learning to ride my bike without using my hands but I've got that down now. Easy. Also, longboarding. Yes, I am so cool.
I will most probably cook for you, I like to make sure that my guests (and hosts) are always well fed. The only thing I am asking for is a little contribution towards the groceries. I am only setting down in the new country and like everyone trying to save a dollar there and there.
What I Can Share with Hosts
What's so entertaining in cooking and baking if you don't get to share your food with someone? I can prepare a killer workout or a yoga session for you as well!
