Overview
About Me
Hello everyone! My name is Karina, I'm 25 years old, and I'm from Ukraine. I'm in love with exploring our planet, variety of cultures and places on it. Digital nomad, backpacker and full-time traveler. Ex-football journalist.
Now I'm working in tech, and I'm always happy to discuss tech development and business-related topics. Who knows, maybe we can even co-found a startup together and change the world?
I spent all my university years volunteering, and I still enjoy giving back to the community. If you organise some activity that requires volunteers, don't hesitate to reach out. Whether it's teaching English to kids, cleaning beaches from plastic, or helping with organising a conference, I can do it all. Also, I can be a speaker at your event.
In my free time, I like to learn new things (seriously, from data science to playing pool), spend time in nature, drink coffee in cute coffee places, go to modern art galleries, watch documentaries, read books, meet new people, and obviously travel. I'm not an avid partygoer, but I probably won't reject having one drink in a fancy bar.
Pescatarian since 2019, aspiring to become vegan.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel, I want to explore cities from the local perspective. I'm curious to see how ordinary people live, their activities in their free time, their hangouts, the food they cook, and so on.
Couchsurfing connected me with many amazing individuals that contributed to my worldview, and helped me to really travel, not just vacation. Especially when I was alone in new countries. I discovered so much kindness thanks to this platform, and I want to keep spreading kindness to the world.

Teach, Learn, Share
Let's learn about each other's cultures. Teach each other some phrases in our languages. Introduce each other to our music, literature, and cinematography. Cook our favourite traditional dishes or go out to traditional restaurants. Talk about history, politics, economics, business and share what our countries are great at.
