PHILOSOPHY

All we need is Love, and the opposite of Love is not hate, it is fear. So learning to recognize fear in all its subtle guises is a passion of mine.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting in the past, and hopefully again very soon!
I am hoping to meet new folks as we travel as much of the world as we can while we can. Staying with local folks is vastly better than staying in an impersonal hotel or even hostel (although I have had some fabulous hostel fun!)

Interests

Natural medicine, Sufism, art, travel, minimalist living, food, stories. Currently working on my PhD in East-West Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies.

Music, Movies, and Books

David Bowie. By far. Then most anything else, although less into country.
So many movies...tend toward the SF/Fantasy genre
Even more books...same genre, and lots of non-fiction, especially history, biographies, and anything to do with natural medicine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Praying in Konya at Shams of Tabriz' tomb, eating dinner with Sheikh Yamani, surviving the bombing of Beirut, 1974, living on this earth.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will happily share anything I know with anyone who would like to learn. The root of hospitality, and the main reason knowledge is important--to share. I would like to learn skills for living a better life, whatever they may be.
