About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My curent mission in life is to do as many crazy things as I can do, experience nature in as many forms as I can, do some good in this world, and pay off my student loans before I'm 80.

ABOUT ME

I just completed a full time, year-long Paramedic program, making me a NY State certified Paramedic (hopefully soon to be national). EMS and fire are pretty much my life nowadays, but I try to make time for other stuff! I run and swim regularly, and climb and hike when I can. I'm looking to buy a kayak, so I can do that more often. I have a bow, but don't have anywhere to practice, so I didn't hunt last season and most likely won't this season. I love to read. I'm a snob when it comes to my coffee, tea, and beer, but overall, I'm a pretty laid back individual.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm an atheist, despite having minored in religion in college (people seem to have issues understanding that). I live my life simply because I am alive, and try to be as happy as I can, as well as make those around me happy. I consider myself a realist. I recognize the flaws in myself and others, but still persist in attempts to overcome these things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of different types of music, but I absolutely love bluegrass. I don't watch too many movies, but one of my favorites is "V for Vendetta." I read a lot, so it's hard to pick favorites, but one of my favorite authors is Neil Gaiman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visit Texas and stay with the daughter of a friend, someone I had never met. I wound up loving Texas, making a new friend, and having a great time. Since then, I've visited several more times. I've ridden a horse bareback at night, contradanced with strangers, and had some damn good barbecue.

Teach, Learn, Share

If I know something and you don't, I'd love to teach you about it, and vice versa!
