We are a little family, just moved to Rheinau Freistett in 2021, that's why I had to change this profile a bit :)
Our son Nils is born in March 2022: Silent nights are rare now... :)
Our daughter Sina was born in October 2016. She´s a cute little girl! ...most of the time...
Manuel is eight years older than me. Both of us studied in Karlsruhe, we love to travel, meeting people and having a good time together.I´m a teacher for Realschule (middlescool), Manuel is a geophysicist and Sina makes new exciting experiences every day. We love to share couchsurfing with her and hope she's benefitting of the same way we do.
Just a little warning in advance: After a little warming up phase she might never let you go anymore... :)
And I´ve got to tell you about our cat Kleo: She´s a crazy and very curious one... But she´s lovely al well- like the rest of us :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love to meet new people, having good conversations and funny evenings together. It´s great to show our beautiful landscape and special places to travellers- the same way we like to see the world on our journeys.

Interests

We loove to travel! Meeting people, having good conversations, and just having a good time is the best you can do while you are on a journey- and when we are at home, we love to be visited by people from all over the world to be a part of their journeys :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Reisen lassen bei Manuel und mir das Gefühl von absoluter Freiheit entstehen, Planungen entstehen häufig erst während der Reise und wir lieben es, unsere "Route" danach zu richten, was uns eben über den Weg läuft. Wir würden beide keines dieser Erlebnisse missen wollen.
Eine Erfahrung möchte ich hier aber gerne teilen und sie steht (finden wir) ganz für das, was beim Couchsurfen eben auch passiert:

Im Sommer `12 habe ich eine lange Tour gemacht, ohne sie geplant zu haben.
Ich bin einfach losgezogen und habe meinen Weg nach Empfehlungen der Leute gerichtet, die mir dabei begegnet sind.
Ich habe mich einfach treiben lassen und dabei sehr viele interessante Menschen getroffen, ihre Geschichten gehört und habe durch sie inspiriert Orte gesehen, die ich sicher nie gefunden hätte, wenn ich danach gesucht hätte...
Sollte ich der Reise eine Überschrift geben, dann wäre es wahrscheinlich "Die Reise zur Freundlichkeit der Menschen". Diese Tour und die dabei entstandenen Eindrücke werden mich hoffentlich ein Leben lang begleiten :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Our cozy and beautiful new home, good beer or wine (or non-alcoholics if preffered :-)), good conversations, a relaxing time.
Maybe you´ll be in the mood having BBQ with us, or sharing a home cinema evening, or you might want to join us discovering the area- because we ourselves settled here just a few months ago, we´re (always) interested in finding new and intersting attractions around! Most of the time, it´s not the big tourism thing, what is really lovely actually. We still collect our favorite places here :)
