About Me
Hello people, I am Karishma also known as Kash. I am Indian by origin but for now I am living in Paris, France. I’m came to France to pursue masters in Aircraft Mechanics and yes, I’m a nerd! For the first couple of years, I lived in a small village in France and absolutely adored it. Then life happened and I found a job in the city of love: Paris!!!
I love food, sleeping, pyjamas, long hugs and stars. You can literally persuade me using any of these things. I love meeting new people and the ultimate aim of my travel is always going to be that. Backpacked solo to 8 countries in the European continent, and my life has never been the same after that. I love using paper maps, and getting lost in new places. I get lost most of the time (93% - I’m an engineer you see) and when I do get lost, I stumble across something extraordinary. I found places I wouldn’t have normally, and I just love those foldable pieces of adventure. I hope you like my stories.
I learnt that there is a lot of good remaining in this world and the best part is, you don’t have to look for it… It finds you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While traveling to different cities is fun, whats even better are the people you meet. Every time I come back with great stories, they almost never are about how amazing the place is but in fact how great the people were. From the time when i hitchhiked in Iceland to the time when i randomly met a stranger on the street and ended up having the time of my life.
I would love hear your stories and tell you mine. And who better to meet than the locals?
p.s. of all the people I've met, my favorite local has to be "Odin" from Iceland. I am so proud to know some one with such an epic name!! LOL

Books: The Kite runner and The Bell Jar.
They both changed the way i looked at this world and i can never explain how truly and deeply they have touched my soul.
Movie: My sister's keeper
I love my sisters beyond imagination and ive literally cried throughout the movie.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hands down my solo hitchhiking trip in Iceland and crossing the Arctic Circle!!
A small story about it: I was hitchhiking in the eastern Fjord of Iceland. Back in the day you had go across each mountain but in the last decade they have built tunnels here. I was walking next to the main ring road hoping to get into a car because you can't walk through a tunnel! (duh Obviously) Right then a car stopped with a middle aged man in it. He said he lived nearby but he could help me cross the tunnel. I jumped into his car we got talking. Turned out he was awesome and we were extremely similar to each other. To give me an extremely local tour, he took me to his town. A town of 750 people, a fishing business and amazing view of fjords. Turned out that this was the only town in Iceland where french was the second language and I live in France! He made me believe in the good of the world!
