CURRENT MISSION
Discover new bits of the world one adventure at a time!
ABOUT ME
I find inspiration in traveling, seeing new things, meeting new people, and learning about different cultures. I have lived in several countries throughout my life and while I grew up in Ohio I like to think of Kiel, Germany as my first home. I am an active person that loves wildlife and being outdoors- I love photography and art, sports (especially beach volleyball, football, running and hot yoga), as well as music. I have traveled my fair share, the last two trips in the previous years being Africa (SA, Namibia, Zimbabwe) and SE Asia (Bali, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam).
At the moment I am in Australia doing research on perenties in the Outback.
If you're desperately looking for a place to stay in Kiel, feel free to get in touch anyway- my family is generally happy to host when I ask them! In this case, we will generally have either a guest room or a small apartment in the basement of our house available, and either my parents or my sister (if she's around) will help you get settled and gladly answer any questions you might have.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My goal is to meet new people wherever I go and in return welcome them to my beautiful home whenever I am not traveling!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couchsurfed Canada as well as on Bali and in Thailand and have met a bunch of absolutely wonderful, unique people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many too list..
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ridden through lava fields and mountains in Iceland. Bungee-jumped and done a photography internship in South Africa, worked with lions in Zimbabwe.
Gone to the FIFA U-20 and FIFA Women's World Cup as a member of staff.
Climbed a volcano in Indonesia and spontaneously raced in 18k bike and 8.5k running races in Thailand- came in 2nd and 3rd, it´s a great story :)
Nearly fallen off a cliff to my death... along with surviving bites from a scarily large number of different animals.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am sure there are as many things I can learn from you as I can teach you- I can offer German or English, photography skills, information about anything related to Biochem or Neuroscience.. Sharing is the most fulfilling: sharing knowledge, sharing food, laughter, stories, sharing adventures and sharing time.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to be able to show couchsurfers that the country consists of more than just Berlin and Bavaria.. :) Depending on how busy I am, I can show you around Kiel and possibly go for day trips to Lübeck and Hamburg and other nearby cities. Hopefully I can show you the charm in the northern part of the country- rural, laid-back and windy with pauciloquent people that have surprisingly large hearts ;)
