About Me

Currently living in Poland, Krakow, teaching English as a second language.

CURRENT MISSION

Not just to "find" what I am seeking... but to drink it, to sleep in it, to be the lyrics in its music.

ABOUT ME

In the Terrains of Doubt, Pen & Pad is my Sword and Armour.

PHILOSOPHY

If you are worried about something, 50% of it is just plain fear.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Initially, I will be seeing the rugged plains of Europe by sleeping the nights on a good person's couch.

When that is settled and done (I don't know when) then I will be happy to do my part with shelter of my own.

I have couchsurfed in Spain and Russia, so far.

Interests

Mythology. Fencing. Metaphors. Symbolism. Illustration.

Writing scripts, for stage and screen. (I have recently discovered what is called the "Cloak & Sword" plays, from olden days in Spain. "The Invisible Mistress" is one such example.)

Star Wars . . . and not just as movies. (I did not like Ep 7, but I fell in love with Rogue One.)

I am currently creating tabletop games, which I will market professionally in the near future. Tabletop games are a part of my boyhood. I remember when I - rather nihilistically - thought that computer games would overpower tabletop games . . . but that hasn't happened, and it never will.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are TOO MANY MOVIES to mention.

I've read all of Robert E. Howard's beautifully atmospheric -- and boyishly philosophical -- Conan tales.

I loved "The Gods and Their Machines" by Oisn McGann, and "Poison Study" by Maria V Snyder.

Although it took me a long time to read; I loved "Dracula."

The play "Rossuman's Universal Robots" is WELL ahead of its time. I recommend it to every adult, even those that hate science fiction. It is worth reading as a novelette-in-play form . . . and then seeing as a play later on.

I strongly recommend seeing the origional flash-site of "Broken Saints."

Music: Tori Amos, Evanescance, Four Play (Australian String Quartet), Wendy Rule (Australian Witch), The First CD by The Corrs, The First CD by B.O.N.D. (String Quartet), Vanessa Mae when she's on screen as well, and Diana Krall when she's on screen as well (I'm not initially into jazz, but she's grown on me).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in Shanghai for about 18 hours, and I had to sleep for most of that day, so I only saw a little bit of it.

On my way out of the city, towards the airport, my taxi drove through the industrial part of Shanghai.

Everything - including the sky - was grey, brown, and white . . .

and two green & scarlet kites were floating in the midst of it.

That mental image has stuck with me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could enable you to write the dramatic plot for a stage play, in about two evenings. Provided you have a single event -- fictional or true-to-life -- that you would like to have documented with performance.

(Or it could ultimatley be a short-story or a film script, if that is what you would rather it to be.)

It's not just a matter of having a situation which reaches an ending. There is more to it than that, no matter how good one is at writing cleverly.
