About Me
Hi there,
My name is Karl Kenzo and I just quit highschool to pursue my passion for music. I'm 20 years old and I plan to travel the world some time. I'm a half German-japanese currently living in my mom's flat in Düsseldorf, Germany but will soon move to my own flat in Cologne the attend a music academy. I visit Japan every year around Christmas-time and I'd be happy to show you either my Town (Düsseldorf) and the neighboring Town (Cologne) or Tokyo and Okinawa (Naha and Kumejima).
I am very open minded and always eager to learn something new.
I am obsessed with music.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I was in Japan last month, I went to a party in Shinjuku which was held in an Irish pub, i met a very nice couple on New year's Eve whom was couch surfing. Since they didn't have line or Whatsapp we couldn't get in contact, except for me installing the app. That way I got interested in the application. I'm a freshman to this and would like to give it a try.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can't decide on my favorite music. I like music that is very complex in the way that is build, played and differes from other pieces. If I had to choose my favorite generes It'd be (in order): hiphop(ATM), singer songwriter, rock, metal, funk, punk, EDM, classic.
I listen to a lot more but that would take ages.
I used to read a lot, but I like to invest my time more in practicing.
I don't watch a lot of movies, but if I would watch one it'd be one of the older movies. Or any movie with Hans Zimmer as the composer of the movie music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Baked 30 cheesecakes in 3 hours. ran a charity marathon (half=20km, and not on my own accord) in under 2 hours. Helped clean up a devastated town which had been destroyed by the tsunami in 2011 (on my own accord).
I went to pizzahut all you can eat and ate 8 slices even though that shit tastes really really bad.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you: a bit about basic musical analysis, how to see things with a different perspective, German, English, Japanese, basic guitar and piano, basic exercises on how to train your ear and voice, history and a lot about the earlier mentioned Cities such as Tokyo, Kumejima, naha, Düsseldorf, Cologne.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My cooking skills, Japanese and German cusine. A lot of stories all around the world, Wisdom (even though I'm 20, seems cheeky right?), My knowledge about history, philosophy, music and preferebly your shower. I forgot to mention my great sense of humor, but it's only available in bad jokes.
