Hey travelers,

My name is Karl, and I'm a Kiwi (New Zealand) based out of Auckland. I've done my small share of travelling and was very grateful to have amazing stays with Couch Surfing. I got to see a different side to the countries I stayed in and made some amazing memories.

Our house ran a lot of couch surfing / and Air BNB and we've made friends with people all over the world.
These experiences are why we run Couch Surfing and will continue to do so :)

Right now, we don't have the space but are always open to trying to make something work.

I enjoy staying in hostels and while the people you meet are great, you often don't meet locals generally meaning you miss out on that genuine experience. This is where couch surfing has it's place.

Self proclaimed Americanised. I could probably tell you more about the NBA than most Americans and I follow the American basketball religiously. Part of my trip to the USA had been moving around to see different playoff games which has always been a dream of mine. When I am in New Zealand, I am generally watching some kind of TV series, playing basketball or going to the gym.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Managed to watch a Golden state Warriors (NBA) game when I was in San Francisco It just so happened that they were handing out the MVP trophy at the game I was at. The crowd were so intense and you could just feel how passionate they were. It was a very surreal feeling I have never experienced at a sporting match before.
