About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life, go exploring, meet people, make new friends... I met an English bloke in New Zealand 8 years ago - in October 2013 I attended his wedding in Florida! This kind of friendship is great! Live the life of a true citizen of the world!

ABOUT ME

My best friend - a girl - would probably say I am a very open-minded, good-natured person. I am always helpful, respectful, up to most different kinds of fun and reliable. My colleagues at work would describe me as energetic, commited, creative.

PHILOSOPHY

What goes around comes around. I believe in treating people respectfully.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to host people once I am settled back in Germany.

If you host me, we will have good conversations, I might cook for you - if you want.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

By word of mouth I came across crashing opportunities. But couchsurfing is a different league!

Interests

First of all I'm very interested in the English language. I studied English at university and I take joy in using it. Going out to bars or clubs with friends and making new aquaintances there is what my weekends are made up of. If I feel I need some time off the world, I will sit down and watch a film or rather than that read a book. On Sundays mostly, I might be seen somewhere in the forests on a long walk, in a museum or in a faraway town doing some sightseeing.

I love good food - original Vietnamese, Indian, Thai, but of course also European cuisines and my mom's ;-)

Reading is fun, so is watching films, series, documentaries. I love hiking and take pleasure in meeting people from all over the worlds.

Music, Movies, and Books

Any list I might start here would be incomplete and unfair. I've read a lot of novels, watched a lot of films and series. I like stories that develop and leave characters space to grow - without being boring of course. Buuuut... a good film full of action is never bad :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw whales and turtles on a sailing boat tour through the White Sunday Islands. I worked with human Kiwis in road maintanance - lot's of jokes were cracked there. I saw romantic and real Cuba. I became and have ever since been a member of a Welsh/English family - I started as a tenant and left and returned and left again as the German son.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a certificate in teaching English and German as a foreign language, I know my general history. I've seen a fair share of Europe :-) and I know my region and neighbouring regions pretty well.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Cuba, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, United Kingdom
