About Me
Hey Everyone,
I am a cheerful, active, German girl with a lot of energy! I love nature, the outdoors, the sea, the sun, surfing, hiking, running - basically anything that makes me feel alive. I love traveling and getting to know other people and cultures. After my A-Levels, I went to New Zealand for 10 months - a time that made me discover my deep passion and admiration for mother nature. What brings more happiness than listening to nature sounds while being fully present?
Besides, I have always been interested in human behavior and I am curious about topics like motivation, meaning in life, fears, mental well-being, and many more - so basically everything that has to do with humans. I guess that's why I choose to study psychology.
In my free time, I love to listen to music, paint, do yoga, read books, meet up with my friends, help my father in his flower shop, and spent time in nature :) And I love to laugh! I'm trying to take life including myself not too seriously as I think that would be a waste of time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really enjoy getting to know different people with whom I can engage in interesting conversations. I believe that we can learn a lot from each other just by listening to each other's story and perspective on life. It's very exciting to meet people outside of your own created "bubble" and it's inspiring seeing how different we all are but at the same time how we have so much in common! :-)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love any sort of Indie music. My Spotify account has lots of Dope Lemon, Tame Impala, Bon Iver, alt-J, Ben Howard, The Paper Kites, Palace and Fleetwood Mac songs. I also listen to German feminist rap like Shirin David occasionally and enjoy reggeaton (Bob Marley while watching sunsets is the best). I love to dance to 80s, 90s, and 2000er, my favourite band of all times is ABBA! And something very different - I enjoy dark tech from time to time.
My favorite movie is "Call me by your name". If you haven't watched it yet and you are into romantic love stories, this is a must-watch! Apart from that, I am not into movies or Netflix in general. (little confession: I never watched Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings)
Because I don't really watch movies, there is more time for reading books! My favorite book on earth is called "Siddharta" by Herman Hesse. The greatest German writer - at least according to my opinion. "Narziss and Goldmund" is another famous book by him and is about a deep friendship between two boys who couldn't be more different. Also one of my favs! Apart from that, I loved Victor Frankl's "Man search for meaning" and "The choice" by Edith Eager. Quite heavy and brutal but so touching and eye-opening at the same time.
