About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Becoming a master raconteur - Sadly due to COVID and underlying medical conditions we have to decline traveler request for the time being and then hope to catch up on missed travel ourselves some day.

Leviticus 19:33-34

ABOUT US

You want "All about you?" in this tiny box??? We travel out of town occasionally and may not always be able to accept guests. Remember that we have a beloved half shihtzu-wolf named Luna or Lu for short. The wolf half doesn't show much but she says that she is a ferocious half wolf ;-). We are non-smokers, rarely drink, and are not great at accommodating vegetarian diets but we will try.

We plan to travel mid-March through mid-April 2022.

PHILOSOPHY

It is not personal, I am happy to share it. ;-) I do not check here as often as FaceBook.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Besides offering a couch in a smoke free home I own a plane and can be stranded by weather so might be looking for a couch on short notice some dark and stormy night. We try not to accept overlapping couchsurfer request just out of consideration.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly for SCA events and a few guests here in Juneau. Experience is beginning to lend credence to the old saying about fish and 3 days.

Interests

SCA, fencing, SASS, Lutheran, CAP, flying, boating, fishing, collecting, reading, reenacting, traveling, history, SteamPunk, search-and-rescue, hunting, cooking, gaming, archery, cast iron, etc.........

Music, Movies, and Books

I used to own a bookstore. Abney Park fans. All sorts of stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a few adventures working for my Uncle.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach fencing; sometimes arbalestrey, armouring, shooting, brewing, SCA, aviating, games, and archery. And beware the storytelling time-warp. (It is OK to tell me that it is late and you need sleep ;-)) Since CS can be slow to send us notices try texting nine-zero-seven-two-zero-nine-eight-one-four-three.

What I Can Share with Hosts

How about with guests? Stories, food, books, a fishing pole, gold pans, bear spray, old bike, SASS gear, armour, fencing whites, paperbacks, some camping gear, sometimes transportation and tour guiding as work allows.

We tend to travel around March and September. More when we're lucky.
