About Me

I never really know where to start with these things because I think what is most important is to describe what kind of experience you'd have meeting me but it is hard for me to know what people experience on their end of our interactions. There is no sense in denying that I am a complete weirdo, but I promise that I'm easy to get along with if you give me a chance. I would describe myself as passionate in many ways, but mostly in regards to social issues. While there are few things I would require as far as accessibility when couchsurfing, I am disabled and this is something that I talk about pretty readily.

Ok, so to avoid making myself sound like a boring robot I'm gonna name some random things about myself that make me seem more like a human:

- I am a plant parent!! I started with succulents and now share a potted garden with my roommates that I loooove taking care of

- 100% guaranteed I will point out every dog that I see. This is an objective fact because dogs are cute and the world should know it.

- I'm VERY easily amused

- I watch Star Trek pretty much every night while eating dinner. I just finished Next Generation and am now on Deep Space 9. Sisko > Picard

- I like crafting!! I can crochet and sew decently well, and have experience in jewelry making and knitting (among other things)

- I spend a lot of time on Twitter and other social media. I guess not as much time as some people, but still significant enough to say so. I mainly use it to connect to other activists.

So yeah, there's some stuff about me and I will probably add to this list as time goes on but I hope that this is substantial enough to make me seem relatable and/or interesting (heh)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy the idea of gaining a more authentic experience of a place I'm visiting and I find that staying with locals is one way for this to happen. I currently have roommates (until September) so it is difficult to offer up my own space, but I am differently interested in hosting once I have the means to do so.
