I've lived in multiple houses over the past three years that have hosted couch surfers (as well as other travelers passing through Austin, TX)

Interests

Hiking, rock climbing, drinking craft beers, working very hard to stay off Reddit, not working hard enough to stay off Netflix, reading Science Fiction, listening to NPR, drinking cheap coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently working on the third Game of Thrones (well, A Song of Ice and Fire, if you want to be technical about it) Book. And watching the new season.
Not finding many new bands to listen to that I like, so going back through the old iTunes collection: Kings of Leon, A Tribe Called Quest, Fleet Foxes, The Fratellis have been recent plays.
Taking a break from the Hyperion Cantos.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to be weightless--a plane called (affectionately) "The Vomit Comet" is what astronauts train on. I got to ride on it. It was like swimming, but through air so you felt very graceful and fluid without so much effort. I also puked.
