ABOUT ME

Hey, I am an Icelandic student living in Switzerland but I am from Iceland. After a few hard months I will take month off from my master studies to travel around the Balkans.

I like talking and I like listening.
I am open to crazy nights but can live without them.

Lets grab a drink analize a bit and solve world problems over a beer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had much CS experience but I am quite used to interacting with new people, staying at their houses and being the host. Not through CS though.

Interests

I want to understand people, nations and their view of the world.
I like energy sciences and politics.

Boy Scouts are a big part of my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On my first trip to Georgia, scouting a location for a conference I was a little bit unsure what to expect. I ended up in a mountain resort, Bakuriani, with my pockets filled with euros to pay for the conference and and a little heart pumping fast.
This evening we were to go out for a drink and our wonderful host said were going to a club a little bit out of town. After travelling with 3 taxis (some broke down, some got stuck in the snow) we decided to run towards a house we thought was the club.
When entering the basement this small wonderful world opened up to us. Great music, people having fun. It was like a beer commercial. One of my best evenings yet.

Another thing was in Thiland, where a group of friends rented bunch of floating houses on a lake, where we could have fun, drink beer and swim whole day. We surely did not expect good food but when the host brought out wonderful dishes of thai food we were sure this was the beginning of a horror movie... but we are still alive.
