Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet some wonderful European CSers!
ABOUT ME
I love black and red, the smell of rain on concrete, tiny things, markets, coffee, especially when it's made with love, travel, reading, nooks and crannies, birds, big nature, red wine and cooking, even though I take an hour to prepare a 15 minute dish.
My friends would probably describe me as loyal, independent, shy depending on the circumstances and a typical Scorpio!
PHILOSOPHY
"There's a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in" - a little pearl from Leonard Cohen
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined CS a few years ago and really love the concept. I think anything that encourages reaching out and cultural exchange can only be positive. I really care about community, both at a micro and macro level, and I want to be a part of building one. I'm keen on participating in and creating group events.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, I have only ever hosted at my previous sharehouse in Kew, Melbourne. Our household had many surfers through its doors in the time that I lived there. There was always laughter coming from the dining room, not to mention the smells of delicious meals wafting up the stairs from our kindly surfers. More negative experiences have related to people being rude and acting with a sense of entitlement, staying on without any real discussion about when they would leave and not cleaning up after themselves.
Interests
Reading, going to talks at Melbourne's Centre for Literature and Ideas, going to exhibitions, yoga, travel, watching HBO shows, cycling.
