About Me

* I am terribly sorry if I haven't replied/ don't reply to you. I don't know why, but I don't get any notification on requests, messages etc. so I will try to figure that out asap. Please don't let that stop you from contacting me, I will try to visit cs more frequently in the meantime. *

I have an open mind and heart for the world, for all that is around us - not only the people and their cultures, but also for animals, the nature, the architecture, art, spirit, literature, emotions, the good, the bad and the ugly things around us.
I am still in the process of developing so I struggle with having my own opinions, but I have my own thoughts on things.
I want to see, feel, hear, smell, taste as much as I can from this world, but I also want to give - that's why I try to express what touches me in various ways.
But maybe these sentences create a more complex picture of who I am than what's actually the case. I am easy going, clean and spontaneous. I love to smile - not much needed for that - and to socialize - no matter if old friends or strangers on the street (or in the jungle).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To every city belong citizens! Getting to know a place without getting to know the people doesn´t make much sense to me. I love to meet new people, make new memories and friends. Couchsurfing simply makes it much easier realize such things!

Interests

Well, travelling of course, but when my bank account is empty I read a lot, watch playing dogs in the park, paint, dream and go out. I love meeting up with friends for a coffee, (coffee!!!) sit there for hours and talk. Swing dance is loads of fun, I can show you if you are up for it. Recently I have embraced a Do-it-yourself-mentality which brought me to fixing up old bikes, sewing and the art of hitchhiking.
Animals, nature and books - big words for me. I love hiking, gazing in the stars from our roof and working with our dogs and horses, which unfortunately don't live with me in Berlin.

Music, Movies, and Books

There is a space in my heart reserved for literature - for the idea, the smell, the touch of books in general and for some very specific ones in particular. Which ones these are you have to find out yourself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first trip alone was to Timor Leste, a small country in Asia that barely anyone knows. Lived there with a local family that I met on the airplane for a month.
Also I hiked 350km of the Jacobspath in Spain. In between these two events I took a sign language class .

Teach, Learn, Share

“You cannot teach a man anything, you can only help him find it within himself.”
― Galileo Galilei
But I still would love to share with you - from story to recipe!

Oh and if somebody could explain chess to me, that would be great!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A cosy room in an amazing apartment with very interesting, caring flatmates who can cook exceptlionally good food. Time is my only treasure and I would love to share it with you!
