Overview
About Me
I'm a young professional working in Washington, DC, but travelling a lot for work. It's getting more difficult to meet people out of college/grad school, and I'm at a place where I would really like to hang out with people that I don't have to talk to about work!
Professionally, I'm a bureaucrat covering financial sector and international development. Personally, I have more nerdy pursuits: for example, I can rant for hours about traffic sign typography and wayfinding systems. I watch films about space exploration and still mourn the retirement of Concorde.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet people! I'm always happy to show you around Washington; or to meet for a drink in one of those random places I visit for work or for fun.
Recently I've been feeling really bad about not having seen much of the US outside the Northeast, despite having lived in the country for a few years. I may be therefore trying to meet up with people from the South/Southwest—hope I don't come across creepy!

Music, Movies, and Books
I spent a week of holidays in Algeria purely because of being fascinated Camus in high school (I think that may mean I'm really old).
I'm a great fan of good graphic novels, particularly inspired by real events (like Joe Sacco, but not necessarily purely documentary—"The Art of Charlie Chan Hock Chye" has been the best thing I read over the last couple years).
Good British TV: "The Fall" is the last thing I binge-watched pretty much overnight.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm boringly un-amazing :(
