I am a very positive woman who is always keen to help other people!!
I have developed leadership skills in several fields, so that encourages me to support some others and to ask for help when I need it. I have carried out duties with responsibility, compromise and discipline to work methodically, with accuracy and attention to detail. I am also a person with excellent interpersonal skills able to talk to people on different levels and quickly establish rapport. I am a friendly and receptive person with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have joined the community because I have heard very good comments about it. I feel interested in contributing as much as possible. Besides, I would like to count on help as sometimes is difficult to afford some fees, and it is more rewarding to meet new people around the world.

Interests

I enjoy engaging with different cultures through languages and teaching experiences, as I used to be a language teacher.
I like exploring places, learning by doing and scouting!
I generally read news to be updated with daily and significant events; plus, I enjoy being an amateur cook, share time with my closest friends, and try to follow healthy habits.

My favourite music is pop and all its variations with dance, electronic and funk music.
I really like reading mystery novels, watching any kind of films (though I certainly have my Top10!) and listening to varied music.
My favourite writer is Stephen King.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have come to the UK to study in a foreign language. It has been a new field for me in several ways, so it means too much for my personal achievements! I also worked as a professional singer (whilst working as a language teacher), both for special events or hired in local pubs/bars in my hometown... singing has been a lifelong thing I love doing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I really enjoy teaching/learning language issues. I enjoy listening about other cultures, habits, customs. I'm definitely learning day by day about film studies, my main topics of research and, most of all, about my country Colombia!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer a small and simple place for one or two people if they plan to visit Leicester, but certainly a good, warm and clean too. Besides, all the possible suggestions to have a good time in the city and nearby.
