ABOUT ME
To start of with a philosophical note: like Jacques Lacan said: we are all divided when it comes to our personality. So when I apply that to myself I consider myself as a melting pot of sometimes contrasting personalitytraits.
I can be contemplative: I reflect a lot about what is going on around me, about me, about people in my life. I like to do that alone but also be stimulated by what other people have to say. I also looove to read and broaden my mind by literature and movies.
But at the same time I also like to stop thinking and just DO: hang out with friends or interesting people, funny dancemoves, walking, running, sleeping :) and relaxing in a sauna or so. I like to laugh and mock around; the most absurd humour I like the most.
So maybe the start of my personal description is a bit misleading: I am not thàt serious :).
PHILOSOPHY
I think I will sit in my couch tonight to muse about this.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I'm travelling I love to couchsurf. It's a great way to get to know local people and discover some secrets of the area (bars, cafés, shops), and learn something about the place or the people throught the people.
I like hosting people at my place, but I have to admit I don't do it that often. It depends on what is going on in my life if I see space (mental and fysical) to have people staying with me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been hosting a couple of people through couchsurfing and I surfed plenty of couches throughout the whole world. I love the concept and it's a great way of meeting up with new, lovely people.
Interests
This year has been the year of raising up new 'clubs' with my friends! We have a club 'The Baking Ladies' (challenging ourselves to make new dishes!) - 'Starbooks' (it's not because you're out of school that you don't need to be obliged by your friends to read books) Although I do like reading a lot! Besides that I love playing and listening to music- watch movies, hang out with my friends and once in a while try something new like wallclimbing. I want to keep learning, broathening my perspectives and my knowledge!

Music, Movies, and Books
Dreamery movies like "Big Fish" or "Finding Neverland", society critical movies or just a relaxing romantical comedy. In general I like many styles except for horror movies.
Books of Isabel Allende, Paolo Coelho, Haruki Murakami (this list has become much longer since the birth of 'Starbooks' ! )
Music: lounge (Gotan Project), Bon Iver, several Belgian artist, jazzzzzz and classical music - depends on my mood
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went travelling for six months in Asia and Australia. Throughout this time I had so many different experiences, from doing a volunteer project in Indonesia, 'till relaxing on a sailing boat in Australia, canoeing through an amazing river (Noosa), watching music concerts...Lovely things that I enjoyed even more thanks to the great people that I met during this time or friends that I caught up with.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm studying a lot about psychology and psychotherapy. I like learning about other people through talking: about our wishes, our desires, motivations, aspirations, dreams, etc...
