About Me

Hi there - how're you!

I'm a Finnish journalist living in Denmark and working in Sweden (yes,). I have just completed my second master's degree in global studies, and enjoying my life in Copenhagen and Malmö.

My favourite city is probably London, but on the other hand I have left my heart in Asia. Recently I have become more acquainted with African countries. Middle East is my next target.

I'm really social and curious, I like talking, asking questions, and experiencing something new - that is what I do as a radio journalist. But I also enjoy being by myself. I love big cities and metropolises, but as I come from a small country, I really appreciate the clean nature and quietness.

Looking forward to meet you!

Interests

Exploring new cultures is one of the best activities that I know, but I also like meeting friends and new people, going out, doing exercise, reading, listening to music and writing.

British and Swedish pop/rock/folk bands and singers get the most of my attention at the moment, but I am always open for new influences. I'm very interested in art, and want

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been lucky enough to get plenty of memorable moments in different parts of the world... oh where to pick:

- In Japan... I won't ever forget the sunrise at the top of mountain Fuji, after climbing the whole night... Or the meeting and the warm discussion with an atomic bomb survivor in Hiroshima, a 90-year-old lady.

-In Cambodja... in the South East Asia inter-rail we passed this small and poor but extremely interesting country, came there late by bus from Vietnam and continued in the following day to Thailand. Nevertheless, we wanted to see Angkor Wat, therefore we needed to get up at 3 am and take the motorbike ride to the old temple area. It was one of the amazing scenes I have ever seen... There were many tourists, of course, and it was raining a bit, but there I stood in the middle of the ancient world I hadn't even realized existing.
