ABOUT ME

I am a free-spirited mind who loves to travel(who here doesn't?!). My dream at the moment is to travel, conquer the world and leave my worries behind but in the end to find a place to settle in. Meanwhile I'm working as a translator in Malta.I love animals, especially dogs, and I wouldn't rule out the possibility that I would be working in an animal shelter as a volunteer some day somewhere.Sometimes the "normal" sense of humor just doesn't cut it for me but I do think of myself as a humoristic person. Irony and sarcasm I love!I am usually on time no matter what the plan is. Actually, I am everywhere at least half an hour before I am supposed to. Why? Please, tell me.I just graduated so this is the point in my life when I don't really know what to do next. Why not to spend it travelling and getting ideas from other cultures? Got stuck in Malta now but who knows for how long!I smoke cigarettes sometimes but I never do it inside. Trying to quit... I have surfed and attended meetings in Europe and North America and also, hosted once. Hopefully I gain more experience soon!

Music, Movies, and Books

TV-series I love: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Trailer Park Boys, Arrested Development, The Simpsons, South Park, House M.D., The Office (UK), Extras, Frasier, Seinfeld, Silverfang, 3rd Rock from the Sun, OZ etc.
What comes to movies and music I really don't have favourite genres. Almost everything goes but I especially enjoy movies by M. Night Shyamalan and movies with Edward Norton and also at the moment, everything related to Batman and music-wise Finnish reggae. I collect movies that are based on Stephen King novels and short stories - yep, even the crappy ones.
I like to read but I need to be in the right mood to do it. Besides fiction I enjoy exploring dictionaries, encyclopedias and map books. And a new favourite: yellow pages!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have to say that the real eye opener for me was my exchange student period in Belgium. Before that I had always dreamt about travelling and such, but when I actually got around to do it I truly found my inner me. I discovered that at the moment I belong to somewhere else than my homecountry and that I love to meet foreign people and learn about their ways a life.

I am very passionate about different languages so I hope I could learn at least a couple of words in every place I travel. Vice versa I love teaching Finnish and perhaps even a little bit of Swedish to anyone who is interested!
