About Me

I'm a curious wanderer who doesn't plan on settling any time soon. I believe the world is more within reach than it ever has been and will be.

Ever since reading Tim Ferris' 4 Hour Work Week and mustering the courage to take my first self-funded trip, I've never been the same. The sense of freedom I felt during that trip, the happiness that overtook me while experiencing new adventures, the pure joy of meeting new people, building new relationships and being inspired by the stories of different individuals has inspired me to keep going. Since then, I've held onto my deep desire to explore the world and dedicated my time to creating a life that makes me happy. I left the 9 to 5 to pursue my dream of working for myself and becoming a remote entrepreneur. Since then, I've managed to create 3 companies of which I manage remotely. They consist of:
KBCreative: a creative company that produces photography, videography, web design, and graphic design projects for businesses of all types and specializing in extreme sports, exotic cars, travel & lifestyle as well as corporate initiatives.

Barkem and Tailies: a creative and lifestyle company for the pet industry

Dignity: a new wave of drinking games that are a blend of Drunk Jenga and Ring of Fire/Kings.

When I'm not traveling, wandering or adventuring, I'm creating something new whether it be photographing, producing, designing, or creating a new business. I love new experiences. The outdoors are totally my thing. If I could spend time in nature, I'm one happy woman. Mention mountains and I'm all over it. Some of my other interests include: basketball (I played all the way up to my MBA), fitness, motorcycles, bike riding rollerblading, mountain biking, hiking, camping, surfing, eating, wine tasting, wandering, being spontaneous, creating cinematic videos, capturing moments via photography, coffee shop explorations, dancing, cooking, reading, and so much more!

I'm a pretty down to earth gal and always down to experience new things!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love to get to know people with similar interests and even people with different interests that can introduce me to new things. I love to connecting with individuals with all types of mindsets. I'd also love meeting people who are willing to adventure with me or give suggestions on places to go around their area. I'm perfectly fine adventuring on my own or embracing new company to have a good time. :) I hope we can have a chance to connect and have some fun together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I love everything and I'm open to everything. My current jam genres consist of Latin Top Hits, Acoustics, Hip Hop, Reggaeton, Country, Pop, Oldies, 90s, 80s, Christian, Rock, R&B, Soul. Honestly, if it makes me move or vibe, I like it.

Movies - I love movies that motivate, inspire, or spark some thought. Some genres include: Psychological Thrillers, Action Movies, Documentaries. I'm also an undercover sap so I enjoy a chick flick every now and then and movies that will make me tear up. (The Blind Side, A Walk to Remember, The Notebook)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd have to say I'm pretty proud of the life I've built for myself. It's been a long journey of challenges and mistakes, lessons learned and little successes that have been built on top of each other along the way. Being able to be on a 4-6 month backpacking trip I'm currently on is pretty amazing to me. It's something I've wanted to do for so long and now I'm doing it! :D

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - I'm happy to teach you what I know about anything and everything. Feel free to tap into my mind should you feel curious enough to know why I am the way I am or how I do what I do. I'm always up for a nice, motivating and engaging conversation.

Learn - I'd love to learn more about your culture, your area, your interests, your disinterests, why you are the way you are and what makes you tick.

Share - I'm always up for a great conversation. I hope we can share stories and inspire each other along the way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I take pride in my Mexican heritage and have to say I can cook some pretty great meals. I'm happy to exchange some of my services (videography, photography, graphic design, business expertise, etc.) and let you pick my brain as you see fit. I can also share some recommendations along the way from my own travel experiences. :)
