We're Karolina and Laurens - an international couple traveling Central America for half a year. As two social, open-minded, curious and adventurous people we are excited to share our experiences with fellow couchsurfers, spend nice times together and possibly learn from each other. We are nature-enthusiasts, music and food lovers and enjoy all sorts of outside activities! While Laurens is exploring the culinary side of the countries we are traveling I am trying to observe the social life and make new discoveries about others and myself.

Of course we want to meet new friends, inspiring people and discover new places, traditions, cultures and lifestyles. It is important to us to see our travel destinations not only from a tourist's perspective but really live with locals and go with the flow. It is fascinating to imagine having friends all over the world that are always welcome in our house and that welcome us in theirs. Truly there is no better form to learn acceptance, kindness and diversity every day anew.

Música, películas y libros

Although we can dance through a night to amazing techno we appreciate every genre, especially latin music and oldies. I am eager to improve my salsa dancing and to get Laurens to dance with me :) Otis Redding, Bill Withers or Buena Vista Social Club are as cool to us as Amy Winehouse, Detroit Swindle and Format B.

While Laurens is rather the Biography/Novel type of guy I like to shiver to Psychothrillers or relax with Greek Saga and Non-fiction books.

We will watch anything that makes us laugh or challenges our brains!!
